Flatbush
With its prewar colonial and Victorian homes and calm streets, Flatbush is a largely family-oriented area with some of the best Jamaican restaurants and Caribbean bakeries around. It boasts the Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts, an upscale performance center that has hosted world class performers like Itzhak Perlman and Ray Charles. Flatbush is also known for it’s historic jewel, the Flatbush Dutch Reformed Church, one of the oldest churches in Brooklyn.
