Vinegar Hill

If you love Dumbo but hate tourism, Vinegar Hill is for you! Just steps from Dumbo, Vinegar Hill is a quiet neighborhood attracting many families and young professionals. It got its name from the Battle of Vinegar Hill in Ireland in 1798. Although it is a waterfront neighborhood, there is no actual access to the water due yo Con Ed's substation occupying the East River shoreline. That all being said, it is a great neighborhood for those who want to live near areas like Dumbo but want to be away from the tourist traps.
