Spuyten Duyvil is one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the Bronx. While many people own their houses, more and more apartments are popping up each month. There are many coffee shops, bars, restaurants, and specialty shops to keep its residents from having to commute to Manhattan, however, the commute is short for those who choose to. It is said that Spuyten Duyvil. or Spouting Devil in Dutch, got its name because it is where the Harlem and the Hudson River meet.
